That Rookie

I watched the Sonics game last night, and was going to say some stuff about Kevin Durant, but Dave Berri says enough.

I'm all for letting the young guys play.  But come on.  Remember how Dirk Nowitzki had such huge expectations in Dallas as a rookie, and they started him?  And then he sucked, shooting 40% from the field (20% from 3-pt range) as a rookie, with 3 RPG?  Well, Dirk wasn't starting very long.  I'm pretty sure that sucking and not getting a lot of playing time gave him a lot of motivation to  get better in that off-season following his rookie year.  Will Durant have to endure the same thing?
